Established in 1908, the Saponeria Silva company took great care in its production of bath and laundry soaps, providing quality products guaranteed by a wealth of experience. Having abandoned its old soap cutters, wood kilns for drying and ancient production methods, the Italsilva Group has maintained the traditional fragrances and properties of its detergent products, while complying to the most modern technology processes, ensuring both quality and efficiency. The construction of the vaporization tower dates back to 1951, the very first of its kind in Italy for the production of powder detergents, replaced during the 1970s and still today symbolizing the company's longstanding commitment to technology and continuous improvement.
ITS Detergenti was established as a result of the transformation of the old soap-making factory, dedicating itself actively to the production of laundry washing soap, bath soap and powder detergents.
The Italsilva Group completed its presence in the detergent products sector with the founding of S.I.S.A., manufacturing and packaging liquid washing detergents for laundry, home and personal care, in addition to primary industrial materials, and SI.STE.M, specializing in the production and packaging of liquid detergents for hard surfaces and laundry. Italsilva Group's revenues for 2006 amounted to around 180 million Euros, of which 70% was generated on the Italian market, 20% from exports, and the remaining 10% from primary materials. Specifically, 80% of its earnings resulted from the sale of products bearing its own brand names, and 20% from private labels. Italsilva Group currently employs over 250 people.
